Kraftwerke Vorderrhein AG

Description

Kraftwerke Vorderrhein AG provides consumption-adjusted peak-load energy.
The Kraftwerke Vorderrhein (KVR), which were built between 1962 and 1968 and are based in Disentis/Mustér (GR), are a joint venture between the canton of Grisons, the municipalities belonging to the concession area , and Axpo. Due to their fast availability and large capacity, the KVR power plants are used to generate consumption-adjusted peak-load energy. Both the Sedrun and Tavanasa power plant stages use the water inflows from an approximately 316 km2 catchment area of the Vorderrhein and its inflows up to Tavanasa. Kraftwerke Vorderrhein AG can be reached by public transport from Andermatt in 70 minutes, or by car in 52 minutes.
