In the footsteps of the Heidbüel weather forecasters

Description

In the woods of Churwalden, elves use nature observation techniques to decipher the weather. To learn these techniques and so become a weather forecaster, all you have to do is follow the special weather adventure trail.
What did people do in the olden days with no television and no smartphone apps to check the weather before they went out? In reality, forecasting the weather is only a matter of observing nature and animals. In any case, that is the technique used by the weather elves of Heidbüel. In the woods and the meadows and on the upper stretches of the rivers at Churwalden are clues that can only be understood by those who can listen to the rain and dance with the wind. On a 2.5-kilometre mountain trail with stations containing weather messages to be deciphered, these elves teach children a new way of playing with nature and predicting the next day’s weather.
