Celebrate in the cultural monument

Description

The Bourbaki Panorama can be found on the edge of Lucerne’s old town, right by the Lion Monument. Now a listed building, the museum was built in 1889 to display the famous Bourbaki Panorama. The picture gallery of the Bourbaki Panorama Museum can be exclusively booked or hired for a wide variety of guided tours, festive and information events and celebrations. An event at the museum surrounded by the huge panorama is a unique experience.
The Bourbaki Panorama in Lucerne is a European cultural monument and forms the centrepiece of the building of the same name. Artist Edouard Castres tells a gripping story in monumental panoramic style (the image measures 112 x 10 metres, originally 112 x 14 metres), captured in this impressive painting in 1881.
Current socio-political issues can also be experienced at this lively location. Themed tours show how dynamically the past and present collide. Exclusive restoration tours offering a peek behind the scenes are also available and allow you to experience the panorama from a unique perspective.
