Description

The La Grange Park sits right next to the Eaux-Vives Park and offers a unique view of the lake basin. The wonderful flower garden stretches out over 12,000 square metres and delights its guests with more than 200 varieties of roses.
The park is the legacy of the Favre family in Geneva, who gifted it to the city in 1918. It is connected to the neighbouring Eaux-Vives Park via a gate at the end of each of the parks. A manor house with fountains and beautiful flower gardens dominates the park.

The highlight nowadays is the rose garden, which was laid out in 1945/46 according to the plans of Armand Auberson. These had the geometric lines returning back to the landscape park. In a large octagon, you can find around 200 varieties of roses. At the annual “Concours international de roses nouvelles” (international competition for new roses), rose growers from all over the world present their new varieties.
