Fräkmüntegg adventures – Pilatus

Description

Young or old, adrenaline junkie or connoisseur, the Fräkmüntegg adventures on Pilatus have something that will appeal to everyone.
Dragon Alp
There are many adventures just waiting to be discovered all around the large barbecue area on Dragon Alp. Dragon Alp itself is the perfect spot for a barbecue at lunchtime. The small kiosk has something for those feeling just a little peckish as well as delicious sweet treats.
Treetop walkway
This free treetop walkway is a chance for the whole family to get closer to nature. The information boards in six of the 13 treetop nests allow visitors to learn more about the forest and the animals that live there.
Rope park
Young adventurers and the young at heart looking for a special thrill will meet their match in the rope park – and no special training is needed. The 11 courses with varying levels of difficulty, the monkey trees and the Powerfan (freefall simulator) all guarantee plenty of fun and action. With balance and climbing challenges, cool ropeway descents and demanding obstacles to overcome, rope park beginners and aficionados alike will find lots to enjoy.

PILU learns to fly
Central Switzerland’s rope park on the Fräkmüntegg now has a children’s trail for intrepid young climbers from four to eight years of age. Each of the seven stages features one of PILU’s friends. Every child is fitted with a safety harness that is clipped in once at the start and ensures their safety throughout the adventure.
Dragon Glider
The Dragon Glider is a unique experience in Switzerland: you glide 500m down through the trees in the comfort of a paraglider seat. At a height of eight metres, you reach speeds of up to 12km per hour along the way.

Arrival by car:
from Kriens/Lucerne, the Pilatus rope park can be reached on the panorama gondolas of Pilatus-Bahnen in around 30 minutes (2 sections). Parking available at the valley station in Kriens.
Arrival by public transport:
bus no. 1 (every 6 minutes) from Lucerne railway station to Kriens, “Linde-Pilatus” stop. From there, it is a short walk up to the valley station of the Pilatus-Bahnen cable car.
