Description

The Churches of St. Stephen and St. Luzi were and are both situated higher than the much more famous cathedral. Remains of the Church of St. Stephen were first discovered during the construction of the cantonal school in 1850.
Chur is home to the most important monument of early Christianity in Graubünden – the remains of St. Stephen's Church, which was built in the 5th century and which served as the cemetery church for the Bishops of Chur. The Church of St. Luzi, located right next door, still has a ring crypt with confessio.

Discover these two impressive buildings while on a guided tour. The guides have a lot of interesting information to share with you on this journey back into the past.
