Cross-country paradise in the Franches Montagnes

Description

The park-like plateau of the Franches Montagnes is one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing landscapes in Switzerland. A 75 km network of trails crosses the Jura meadows and forests with their typical Jura pines. The trail running straight through the Franches Montagnes is one of the classics.
The enjoyable trail runs from Pré-Petitjean station and past the Jura villages of Montfaucon, Saignelégier, Les Emibois, Le Noirmont and Les Bois to La Ferrière. Since the villages are well connected by the Chemins de Fer du Jura railway, the trail can also be completed in stages. The train also carries skiers back to the starting point in Pré-Petitjean. Connoisseurs describe this trail as a cross-country gem in the Jura.
